A terrestrial & marine bioblitz, over two closely located sites. A chance to find as many different bug, bird & plant species at the Manx Wildlife Trust’s Dalby Mountain reserve in the morning, followed by an intertidal foray, bird, shark and cetacean count at Niarbyl. Dalby Mountain is off the A27, between Dalby and the Round Table, with some off-road parking at the start of the track to Eary Cushlin. Grid reference SC233769.

Meet the Species is part of Discovering Places – the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad Campaign to inspire the UK to discover their local environment. It is co-ordinated by the Bristol Natural History Consortium, and has joined forces with Local Leaders and Garden for the Games to get as many people as possible enjoying the outdoors and getting closer to nature in a diverse range of events.
