It’s that time of year again…for Santa’s grottos, carol singing and Christmas lights! As we gear up for the festive holiday season here on the Discovering Places blog, we are turning our attention to the places of entertainment that are being transformed into winter wonderlands for December. Like Wilton’s Music Hall, which we visited last week to celebrate the UK’s historic places of entertainment.
Draped in sparkling fairy lights for the Christmas period, the old music hall is especially magical at this time of year – all dolled up for its upcoming performances; including magic shows and a Christmas Special cinema club.
Over the coming week we’ll be bringing you stories of unique heritage places, but with a special Christmas twist. If you like the sound of festive markets, pantomimes or a candlelit Christmas, then be sure to check out our blog, Twitter and Facebook pages for ideas for Christmassy events or days-out. Or tell us about your festive discoveries and how you are getting into the spirit of the winter season!
