Railway Museum

Our Travel Iconography week may have come to end on the blog – after bringing you tales of a barbershop, railway museum, and fishy souvenirs (we like to mix it up here on the Discovering Places Blog) – but not to fear transport enthusiasts, we’re rushing full steam ahead into a week of Eclectic Travel & Transport Collections.

This week we want to hear about the unique collections of travel and transport memorabilia that you’ve discovered or collected. We’ll be featuring transport museums with a special twist and hearing from our guest blogger about the best ways of getting around the globe.

In the meantime I leave you with my photo of a tiny railway museum tucked inside a railway station in Istanbul – it seems that fans of model train-sets exist the world over!

Have a good week!
